J.Crew Email Design System
Creating functional design systems is the most efficient way for email production. I was contracted by Salesforce to work with a team to create an email design system for J.Crew, J.Crew Factory, and Madewell. The system was then implemented on the Salesforce Marketing cloud platform for them to build their own responsive email designs. The goal was to create a compelling system that enabled ease of use for their marketing team to leverage into email campaigns.

The challenge for this project was the sheer volume of different use cases for the three different brands. All with subtle differences in typography, spacing and image style. The solution was to split up the elements and organize them into different components that covered all use cases.
We created color, typography, spacing, image styles, headers, footers first and then dived into the required subsets. Transactional email, promotional, and confirmation are all easily digestible in this system and enabled a seamless transition to production for the J.Crew Team.
